Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area, located in Datong Township, covers an area of more than 12,000 hectares. The whole area has Nanhu Dashan Mountains, Sanxing Mountains, and Dabajian Mountain Branches. Xianshan is listed as one of the three largest forest farms in Taiwan. Its four seasons are different in style, colorful in spring when flowers are blooming; when autumn is high and airy, sunrise, sea of clouds and other styles are the most unforgettable. The altitude difference in this area is very large, and the climate is subtropical to frigid.
The landscapes in the area include Jizhize Hot Spring (formerly Renze Hot Spring), Forest Paradise, Forest Bathing Trail, Wildlife Sanctuary, Cuifeng Lake, etc. In addition, due to the difference in height, it has a scene of changing red leaves throughout the four seasons. Every autumn, the red maple trees bring gorgeous colors to Taiping Mountain. In addition, mountain cherry blossoms, plums, apricots, and Taiping Mountain white cherry blossoms also show different styles with the four seasons, which are very charming.
